Upper Deck, Halifax, NS

After we did the Keith's brewery tour, we had supper at the Upper Deck. Apparently it is only open for events now.

Here's my table:

Trudy, Jackie and Helene ...

Alice, Niyaz and I ...

Darrell, David and Trudy ...

Me, Steve and Matt ...

Jackie, Alice and Helene ...

Chris was our server and he took good care of us.

Our food choices were haddock, pork tenderloins and lobster ... could you tell who had ordered the lobster?! I'm not a fan of seafood so went with the pork.

We started with a salad ... it didn't interest me so I gave mine away.

Of the ten people at our table, eight had ordered lobster. Here's Steve's ...

I had ordered the pork tenderloin ... it wasn't great. It was supposed to come with garlic mashed potatoes ... looks like a baked potato to me.

Dessert was chocolate cake ... it was just so-so.

I heard mixed reviews about the lobster ... some said it was delicious and others said it was tough and overcooked.

Afterwards half of us went downstairs to the Lower Deck. There was a band that wasn't too bad playing cover tunes.

I have a weird memory of the Lower Deck...I had been dating my husband for a couple of months and a girl he dated years before always seemed to be where ever I was. If I was with him or not with him...it was so strange. So we went to NS for a visit and went to the Lower Deck and we were sitting at the bar when who should walk up to us. OMG I just said 'you are officially stalking me'.

Looks like a lot of fun and tasty! I'm not crazy for lobster, but that looks good.
