Monk's Grill, Vancouver, BC

I am flying home to Toronto this morning and had an early lunch at Monk's Grill at the Vancouver Airport.

I ordered the Brick Pressed Peri Peri Chicken without the salad.  I asked Simin, my server, how hot the peri peri sauce was and she was "medium" and suggested I get it on the side so I did.  The potatoes were good ... having them sitting in olive oil and balsamic vinegar was a surprise.  The chicken was okay ... it was a bit dry and not juicy.  The peri peri sauce was good and I dipped my chicken in it.

Monk's Grill, Vancouver, BC

I had breakfast this morning at Monk's Grill at the Vancouver Airport.

When I looked at the menu, blueberry pancakes sounded good so that's what I had, along with a glass of milk.

I thought it was "pancakes"
The top monstrous one was covering the bottom one

I hadn't had pancakes in a long time and these were good.  The blueberries were fresh and exploded with flavour.

Charmaine was my server and she took good care of me.

Monk's Grill, Vancouver, BC

I am flying home today at noon and had an early lunch at Monk's Grill at the Vancouver Airport.

Though it was only 10am (1pm Toronto-time), I ordered a burger and fries ... the flight is almost five hours so I wanted to make sure I wouldn't get hungry (I don't do hunger well).

The burger was good, though I found the bun a bit dry.  The fries were good too.

Roy was my server and he took good care of me.

Monk's Grill, Vancouver, BC

I had supper at Monk's Grill at the Vancouver Airport today ... I was between flights.

I ordered a burger ... it was Angus beef mixed with spicy Italian sausage on an onion bun. I didn't feel like French fries or a salad so had garlic mashed potatoes instead.

Yum!!

I'm looking forward to stopping back in for lunch on Wednesday and getting the same thing!

Adam, my server, was very attentive and took good care of me.
