Graffiti's Bar and Grill, Toronto, ON

Gord and I met Malcolm and Mary at Graffiti's in Kensington Market this afternoon.

The Sin City Boys were playing from 4pm to 7pm and the place was jammed.  They were good!

We found a spot in the back

Here are Gord, Malcolm and Mary ...

Kensington Market, Toronto, ON

Gord had a massage at lunchtime today at Ossington/College.

I met him afterwards and we walked along College Street to Kensington Market. It's been a while since we'd been there.

We grabbed a burger and some beer on the patio at the Burger Bar.

They just offer craft beer, mostly from Ontario.

Not a huge menu but the burgers are good.

My burger doesn't look overly exciting but it was good ... juicy and tasty. They grind the meat there.

The car representing the Community Vehicular Reclamation Project is back (though more south on Augusta than before).

The Havana Cuba Grill & Bar is new ... it just opened two months ago. We used to go there when it was a dive called Planet Kensington (we weren't cool enough to go to Planet Kensington but we liked it).

Julio has been in Canada for about a year and made us a couple mojitos.

We stopped in at Graffiti's because there was a band playing country and folk tunes.

When we got home, it looked like the kitties were in the middle of a nap ... Crumpet is doing her wake-up stretches.

Graffiti's Bar & Grill, Toronto, ON

Gord and I walked to Kensington Market and checked out Graffiti's Bar & Grill ... we'd never been there before.

It's a small but cute place ... we sat at the bar.

Kitgut Stringband was playing and they were really good. On their Facebook page, they describe themselves as an oldtime stringband ... they sounded bluegrass with some Celtic reels thrown in. Apparently they play there every Wednesday night. Two fiddles, a guitar, a stand-up bass guitar and a banjo ... great combination!

You've got to love a place that has a Nova Scotia flag above the bar ... I'm from Nova Scotia and apparently the owner of the bar is too.

I'll be back!
