Bungalow Cafe, Toronto, ON

We had supper tonight with Monica and Mark (our former next door neighbours who moved two years ago) and Sherry and Brock (our neighbours who are moving in two weeks).

We went to the Bungalow Cafe (King W/Strachan).

Bungalow Cafe, Toronto, ON

Our former neighbours, Kirsten and Justin, came for a visit. They moved in 2004 to Newmarket and we haven't seen them in a while. It was great to see them!

For supper, we enjoyed Bungalicious at the Bungalow Cafe. An appetizer, main dish and a dessert for just $30! It's a great deal!

Kirsten and I ordered Shit That Dreams are Made of martinis. Yum!

Here we are!

I had stuffed pork chops with scalloped potatoes ... yum!

Gord and I went to the Bungalow Cafe after work today.

We sat for a couple hours with the owner, Rob, catching up.

On Friday nights, the Bungalow has Okanagan Spring Pale Ale for $4 a draft.

I'm not a fan of it so I get Sapporo instead.

Bungalow BBQ, Toronto, ON

After the Jays game, we walked home by way of Harbourfront. Island Soul was the theme there this weekend. We must have picked a bad time to show up cuz it was quiet, though there were lots of people around.

On Sundays at the Bungalow Cafe, Rob does a BBQ so we stopped in for a couple drinks on our way home. I had a burger and Gord had chicken. Very yummy!

Here's Gord with Jeff's dog, Juliette, on the patio of the Bungalow Cafe. She is very sweet!

Bungalow Cafe, Toronto, ON

To celebrate our anniversary, we went to the Bungalow Cafe, a restaurant in our 'hood, for Bunga-Licious - a three course dinner for $25.

Rob, the owner, gave us a bottle of our favourite wine there, Oyster Bay. Wasn't that nice?We both started with salad.
For the main, I had chicken ... it should be stuffed with cheese (I'm not a big fan of cheese) and there should be veggies too but I passed on them.

Gord had mushroom pasta.

Our dessert, chocolate and orange creme brulee.

If you haven't been to the Bungalow, you should go! Yummy food and great people!

Bungalow, Toronto, ON

Gord and I walked home from work tonight (as we usually do). We had plans of going to the gym.

But we passed by the Bungalow Cafe ... the window to the street was open ... and the table right next to the window was available.

So we traded going to the gym for a couple drinks on a gorgeous sunny day!

Our neighbour, Anne, stopped in and joined us.

Bungalow Cafe, Toronto, ON

After the spa, we had supper at a restaurant called Politica Resto Bar, a fairly new restaurant in our neighbourhood. My pizza was delish and Gord loved his duck confit.

Then we went for a couple drinks around the corner at the Bungalow Cafe. Jeff, the waiter, gave us a shooter to celebrate Gord's birthday.
