The Olde Angel Inn, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Gord and I had supper this evening at the pub in the Olde Angel Inn. It was a busy spot and we were seated in the back room.

I had a turkey clubhouse (look at all that turkey!) and swapped out my fries for mashed potatoes.

Gord had mac ‘n cheese with crab.

Both were good.

The Olde Angel Inn, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Gord and I had supper at the pub in the Olde Angel Inn. It was a busy spot and there was constantly a line-up.

Gord ordered a shrimp basket.

I ordered a burger and fries.

Both were good.

The Olde Angel Inn, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Gord and I had an early supper today at the pub in the Olde Angel Inn, which was established in 1789 and rebuilt in 1815 after the War of 1812.

We got there just before the supper rush and it got busy.

They had an interesting selection of craft beer.

The Olde Angel Inn, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

Sister Sarah and I drove to Niagara-on-the-Lake after we left Niagara Falls and walked around for a bit.

We had a late lunch at the Olde Angel Inn.  I've been there with Gord a couple times.

There were a few people in the restaurant, mostly in the front part.  We were seated in the back room.

The Olde Angel Inn, Niagara on the Lake, ON

Gord and I had supper tonight at The Olde Angel Inn.

Great food, accommodations and friends await you here at Ontario's oldest operating inn. Established in 1789 and rebuilt in 1816 after the War of 1812, The Olde Angel Inn is a favourite among locals and tourists alike.

We'd been here back in the fall of 2005 and enjoyed it.

Here's Gord in the doorway.

The hostess sat us in the back. There was a better vibe in the front so we sat at the bar instead ... I though it was hilarious that this plaque was in the corner behind us.

Gord ordered fish 'n chips ... he thought it was okay, not great.

I ordered curried chicken and rice.

My meal was good. There was a lot of chicken and the sauce was spicy. All that was missing was some naan bread.

Olde Angel Inn Pub, Niagara on the Lake, ON

Gord and I ended up eating at the Olde Angel Inn Pub both Friday and Saturday nights. We wanted to go to a pub and that seemed to be the only one around. It was packed both nights but we waited at the bar until we got a table.

I had fish and chips both nights ~ it was good. Gord had fish and chips Friday night and a Reuben sandwich and fries Saturday night (there was lots of meat).

We'd definitely eat there when we go back to Niagara on the Lake. The food is good and it has a fun atmosphere.
