Toronto Blue Jays 2 ~ Chicago Cubs 1, Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON

Every summer Dawn, our pal and neighbour, organizes her staff (and their friends and family) for an afternoon Toronto Blue Jays ~ Chicago Cubs game at the Rogers Centre. Knowing we’re fans, she invites us. And that’s what we did today!

It was a fun game! The Jays beat the Chicago Cubs 2 - 1. Whoohoo!  Thanks, Dawn!

Not hard to tell it was Canada Day!

Our seats were in the 200 level and we had a great view of the CN Tower.

Toronto Blue Jays 5 ~ Washington Nationals 2, Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON

To celebrate Gord's birthday, we went to the Toronto Blue Jays game.

It was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. bobble head giveaway night to the first 15,000 attendees. We were surprised that we both got one ... usually giveaways are gone by the time we get there. But it was a Monday night after an opening weekend and there were only about 20,000 tickets sold.

Here we are ...

Toronto Blue Jays 3 ~ Boston Red Socks 7, Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON

The St. F.X. Toronto Alumni Chapter (alumni of St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS, where I graduated from) had an event this evening … drinks and snacks at Boston Pizza followed by a Toronto Blues Jays game (alas, Boston beat Toronto 7 - 3).

David Graham, VP Advancement, and Shanna Hopkins, Director, Alumni Affairs, were there from St. F.X. in Antigonish.

Then we headed to the Toronto Blue Jays game.

We sat in the 500 section.

Gord and I went to this afternoon’s Toronto Blue Jays ~ New York Yankees game at the Rogers Centre.

They have done some major renovations to the Rogers Centre since last year so we got there early and walked around to check them out.

Here's the view from the Corona Rooftop Patio on the third level.

These guys were playing next to the Corona Rooftop Patio and were good.

Here's the Sportsnet broadcast booth Jamie Campbell and Joe Siddall before the game.
