I was craving wings so headed to Hurricanes Roadhouse on Bloor Street W (east of Dovercourt Road) for lunch. I’ve had their wings many times and like them. 

When I was there about six months ago, it was $18 for wings and fries … today I was surprised when I got my bill and it was $18 for just 7 wings (there were more wings last time) and the fries were $4. Less food for more money. The wings were good, though they came with a different sauce than I’d ordered and could have been hotter.

I had a late lunch this afternoon at Hurricanes Roadhouse (on Bloor Street W, just east of Dovercourt Road). 

I ordered grilled wings with Buffalo sauce and fries. I ate a couple wings and they were too charred.

After I finished volunteering at Quest XO Chocolate, Gord and I met for supper on the back patio at Hurricanes (Bloor W/Dovercourt). I was craving wings and a cold beer and that's the first place I thought of as the wings are good and it's not far from our 'hood.

We both ordered wings and fries ...

Gord's wings were salt 'n pepper

Mine were Buffalo sauce

Both were really good!

After the Spring Run-Off, Gord and I had a late lunch at Hurricanes (Bloor W/Dovercourt).

He had Eggs Benedict with peameal bacon ... he said it was good.

I had wings with Buffalo sauce and fries and they were good.

Sarah was our server … she was friendly and took good care of us.

When I moved to Toronto in the late 1980s, Hurricanes (Bloor W/Dovercourt) was my neighbourhood bar. They had fun cheap boozy cocktails, good wings and organized bus trips to the Blue Jays games. I moved out of the area and haven’t been back in years. I’ve been thinking about them this week and walked there for supper this evening. 

I ordered wings with Buffalo sauce and fries and they were good.

Marley was friendly and took good care of me.  I’ll be back!
