Milestone's Grill & Bar, Toronto, ON (John Street)

After Gord and I left the Roundhouse Craft Beer Festival, we walked to Milestone's (on John Street) for supper.  We sat on the patio.

Sister Sarah had given us a gift certificate for there for our anniversary and we used it.

When we had walked by earlier on our way to the beer festival, they were giving our coupons ... a Bellini and an appetizer for $10.  So we used the coupons.

Here are our Bellinis ... it's been a while since I've had one.

Milestone's Grill & Bar, Toronto, ON (John Street)

Sister Sarah and Joey had given Gord and I a gift certificate for our anniversary for Milestones.  We used it this evening for supper.

Here's Gord's Mojito (hand-shaken with Appleton White rum, lime juice, plenty of fresh mint, cane syrup and a splash of soda) next to my Razzberry Mojito (Bacardi Razz rum, smashed raspberries and fresh mint).

For starters, Gord had Crispy Honey Phyllo Shrimp (crispy coated shrimp lightly fried and served with honey chipotle glaze for dipping) ...

And I had Spicy Thai Chicken Drummettes (toasted sesame-cucumber mayonnaise, peanut sauce) ...

As our main, Gord had Portobello Mushroom Chicken (double breast, with sliced Portobello mushrooms sautéed in olive oil with plenty of fresh basil, roasted garlic and reduced reggiano cream served over capellini) ...

And I had the Red Curry Chicken Bowl (chicken, red peppers, green onions simmered in Thai red curry coconut cream, fragrant jasmine rice) ...

Very delicious!

Milestone's Grill & Bar, Toronto, ON (John Street)

After the Jays game, Gord and I had supper at Milestones.

I started with World Inspired Dips with Grilled Naan and Ciabatta Toasts (served with an assortment of inspired dips, Ciabatta toasts, red tortilla chips and warm naan bread for dipping Red Pepper Hummus, Black Olive Tapenade & Italian Bruschetta):

It was yummy! I don't like the Black Olive Tapenade so they gave me extra Red Pepper Hummus instead.

Gord started with the Crispy Honey Phyllo Shrimp (crispy coated shrimp lightly fried & served with honey chipotle glaze for dipping).

My main dish was the Red Curry Chicken Bowl (chicken, red peppers, green onions simmered in Thai red curry coconut cream, fragrant jasmine rice, steamed Asian greens):

It was delicious!

Gord had the Portobello Mushroom Chicken (double breast, with sliced Portobello mushrooms sautéed in olive oil with plenty of fresh basil, roasted garlic and reduced reggiano cream served over capellini).

Milestone's Grill & Bar, Toronto, ON (John Street)

Sister Sarah had given Gord and I a gift certificate to Milestones for our anniversary and we used it after the Jays' game.

Gord started with a Mojito (hand-shaken with Appleton White rum, lime juice, plenty of fresh mint, cane syrup and a splash of soda). He thinks Milestones makes the best Mojitoes in Toronto.

I had a Bellini (a frozen blend of premium white rum, peach liqueur and sparkling white wine, topped with Boone’s sangria).

Me and Gord

Gord had a Ceasar salad.

I had Spicy Thai Chicken Drummettes (toasted sesame-cucumber mayonnaise, peanut sauce) ... yum!

Then Gord had the special ... steak with shrimp.

I had the pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes.

Thanks, Sister Sarah!
