Red Fox Tavern, Halifax, NS

Chrissy, Elaine and I had lunch today at the Red Fox Tavern.

Mark Macneill, a fella Chrissy and I went to high school and university with (he was two years ahead of us), bought it in the spring.

I've been there a couple times.  Sister Sarah had her 40th birthday party there in 2008. And that's where Sister Sarah met her husband, Joey, back in 1997.

The Red Fox, Halifax, NS

Sister Sarah, Joey and I went to the Red Fox tonight.

Chia Kitty enjoyed a Keith's.

Here's Mark, our server, and Chia Kitty.

I had wings and fries (and one of Sister Sarah's onion rings) ... they were good!

There was a band called The Echoes playing. Sister Sarah had bought her truck from the bassist, Garrie. Here he is with Chia Kitty.

Chia Kitty was the first on the dance floor when The Echoes started playing.

Here's Joey and Sister Sarah ... aren't they cute?!

When the band wasn't playing, Herman played tunes. Herman is Joey's brother's wife's sister's husband.

Here's Joey, Chia Kitty and the band just before the last set.

Chia Kitty jammed with the band (he's between the piano player and the drummer).

Sister Sarah and I had some fancy moves on the dance floor.

Sister Sarah's Birthday Party

Sister Sarah was throwing herself a 40th birthday party tonight (her birthday is Monday) at a bar called the Red Fox. She celebrated my 40th birthday with me so I thought I should do the same!

But I didn't tell her I was coming! Hee hee hee!

I flew down to Halifax (a two hour flight) and arrived about noon. Her party started at 6:00. So I had a lot of time to kill. I had lunch. I saw Be Kind Rewind (it sucked!).

When I showed up about 6:20, there were quite a few people already there, even though it was storming.

Sarah having her first of four shooters. Go, Sis, go!
She had a very yummy cake!
