Jack Astor's Bar & Grill, London, ON

I had a seminar to conduct this afternoon in London ... I had lunch first at Jack Astor's (on Wellington Road S).

The dining room
I was seated in a booth in the lounge

I ordered what I always order at Jack Astor's ... Chicken Parmigiana. It was delicious!  There was extra creamy cheese sauce on the pasta along with some tomato sauce in the corner ... great for dippy.  There were also garlic chips sprinkled on it ... I'd never seen them before and not surprisingly they were really garlicy.

Jack Astor's Bar & Grill, London, ON

I had an enrolment seminar to conduct at noon in London today.  Afterwards I had lunch at Jack Astor's before heading home to Toronto.

Since it's St. Patrick's Day today, there were decorations, the servers wore green and they were playing Celtic music along with the usual tunes, which was fun.

I sat on the bar side

I ordered what I always order at Jack Astor's ... Chicken Parmigiana.  It was delicious!

Jack Astor's Bar & Grill, London, ON

After a meeting this morning, Steve, Steve and I had lunch at Jack Astor's before we headed back to Toronto.

Sammy greeted us at the door and opened it and then led us to our booth. She was extremely friendly while we were there and had a delightful English accent. Every restaurant should have a hostess like Sammy! That's what customer service is all about.

Our server was Dave. He was cool and kept calling Steve and Steve "Brother" ... for example, "Would you like some coffee, Brother?" He took good care of us.

Steve and I ordered Chicken Parmgiana (fresh chicken breast, lightly breaded and topped with smoked Mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Served with bowtie pasta, tossed in a creamy cheese sauce) ... it's what I always get at Jack Astor's. As always, it was delicious!

The other Steve ordered a Chicken Club Sandwich (a marinated, grilled fresh chicken breast with bacon, lettuce, tomato and smoked paprika mayo on focaccia) with a salad. It looked fun!

Definitely a good eating experience and I'd stop in again the next time I'm in London.
