Old Triangle Irish Alehouse, Halifax, NS

Sister Sarah, Joey, Gord and I had supper this evening at the Old Triangle (on Prince Street).

Before Sister Sarah and Joey got there, Michael Lloyd was singing ... and he was really good.

Old Triangle Irish Alehouse, Halifax, NS

Sister Sarah, Joey, Gord and I had lunch today at the Old Triangle (on Prince Street).  I've been there before and like it there.

Joey ordered a Corned Beef Sandwich.  He said it was good and he'd get it again.  He found the mustard had a bit of a bite.

The Old Triangle Ale House, Halifax, NS

I'm in Halifax to spend the weekend hangin' with Chrissy and Elaine.

Chrissy and I went to high school in Cape Breton together (we graduated in 1980) and Chrissy, Elaine and I went to St. Francis Xavier University together (we graduated in 1983).  Chrissy lives near Sydney, NS, and Elaine lives in Moncton, NB.  All three of us turned 50 this year.

We went to the Old Triangle for a couple drinks tonight.

Old Triangle Irish Alehouse, Halifax, NS

Sister Sarah and I went to The Old Triangle tonight for a late supper and to hear some Celtic music.

The pub was jammed but we were able share a table near the stage with a couple from Italy on their honeymoon.

As always, my Keith's tasted good. It was especially refreshing since the pub was really warm (there wasn't a lot of air flowing).

Sister Sarah had a Grilled Vegetable Pizza (thin foccacia crust basted with homemade tomato sauce, topped with balsamic grilled peppers, cremini mushrooms, red onion, zucchini, mozzarella cheese). She said it was okay.

I had Killeybegs Style Fish (fresh haddock, beer battered and served with homemade tartar sauce, coleslaw and lemon). It was good.

The band was Scott "Scotty-Dawg" MacDonald and Anthony "Shaggy-Dawg" Rissesco of the Gig Dogs. They were really good and played lots of Celtic songs.

Roger Stone joined them for the second set.

Though there were a lot of people and all the tables were full, couples still found room to dance.

Here are me and Sister Sarah.

I like the Old Triangle. It's a fun place that always seems to have something going on.

Old Triangle Irish Alehouse, Halifax, NS

After our walk around Point Pleasant Park, Sister Sarah and I walked along the waterfront (downtown Halifax).

Look out for that wave, Sis!

We stopped for lunch at the Old Triangle.

I had a large order of nachos ...

They were delicious but filling ... I only ate half of them.

Sister Sarah had a small order of nachos and potatoes wedges.

There was a fella playing a mandolin and four people were step dancing.
