Dundee Arms Inn, Charlottetown, PEI

I spent Tuesday evening 'til this morning at the Dundee Arms Inn (on Pownal Street).

This Queen Anne revival mansion, constructed in 1903 by Lowe Bros. of Charlottetown for Mr. Parker Carvell. Together with his father, Lieutenant Governor Jedediah, Carvell operated a flourishing produce business and this building stood as a private residence until 1956. It was finally converted to an Inn in 1972. While extensive restorations have been carried out, the original character and charm of the property has been maintained.

I had an annex room next door.

My room was at the end

Here was my room ... not quite as spiffy as those pictured on their website but it was okay.

The bed was comfy
The tub was deep and I used it every night

Included with the room was parking and WIFI.  The room had a mini fridge, hairdryer, bathrobes, coffee machine and microwave oven.

The inn is one street over from Queen Street (a main street) and within walking distance to lots of restaurants and pubs, shopping, the waterfront, etc.

My one issue is that my room was right next to the cleaning staff's room ... so it was noisy with them going back and forth, opening and closing the door, chatting, dragging garbage, etc.
