Comfort Suites Downtown, Montreal, QC

Today is Gord's birthday and we have been in Montreal since Saturday afternoon 'til today to celebrate.  We stayed at the Comfort Suites on Crescent Street.

Here is our room.

The king bed was comfy

There was a small balcony and here was our view.  While it was too cold out to enjoy it, it was nice to be able to let some fresh air in.

It was a good sized room and was considered a "bedroom suite" (I guess that's why there was that small wall between the couch and bed) with a "city view".  There was a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, etc.  Continental breakfasts and WIFI (it was quick) were included.

I choose this hotel because it's downtown but it's also on a strip that is packed with restaurants and bars ... there were lots to choose from.  St. Catherine Street W is a half block away with lots of shopping and more restaurants and bars.  We walked to Old Montreal yesterday (it was about 3km away) and we walked to Mount Royal on Sunday.

There is construction next door to the hotel that starts about 7am (I knew that when I booked it).  We live in downtown Toronto so we are used to noise so it didn't bother us.

The cost was $108/night (that's the CAA/AAA rate).  We are heading home today on the 3:30pm train and appreciated that they let us have a late check-out (at 2pm).

Though it's not a fancy hotel, we thought it was great and would stay here again.
