Toronto Rock 20, Buffalo Bandits 13, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our sixth year going to the games and our fifth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the Buffalo Bandits.  Going into tonight's game, Toronto's record was zero wins and two losses.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained before the players came out.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock players huddled before the game began.

 And the game began ...

The theme of the game was Party like it's 1999 ...

Me!

Here's the view from our seats.

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal ... they scored first.

The red-wigged guys were across the way, as usual.

At the end of the first quarter, Toronto was winning 6 - 3.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, hung out in our section for a while.

In our row!
Iggy climbed over us
And then he climbed back over Tim and Gillian
(rubbing Tim's head along the way)
Then he made his way back over again and danced with some in the stands

At the end of the second quarter, Toronto was winning 12 - 8.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again in the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, Toronto was winning 14 - 11.

Our friend, Trish, joined us at tonight's game.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $7,600.

Alas, we didn't win.

Bellosound provided the music during the game.

The attendance at tonight's game was almost 9,400.

The Rock won 20 - 13.  Yay!  Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation to the Rock players for the win.

The players shook hands after the game.

The Rock players did a victory lap.

The next home game is January 12 against Rochester.
