Do Not Call List (DNCL)

When the phone rings at our place, neither Gord nor I jump up to answer it. Chances are it's a telemarketer.

We glance at the phone number and if we don't recognize it, we don't answer. If it's important enough, they'll leave a voice message.

The CRTC's new national DNCL takes effect tomorrow. Yay!

Here's the FAQ and how to get on the list.

Yes I heard about this on the news this morning. Sounds like a good idea, wonder if it will work.

Caller ID is the best invention since TV.

If I don't recognize the number we don't answer it either...that's what answering machines are for right! hehehe I'm going to definitely sign up for this. Thanks!

that's what I do, too. Drives my Dad nuts. "Your phone is making noise!" Yeah, I know. "Aren't you going to answer it?" Nah, I'm in the middle of something, they'll leave a message.

I'm the same way. Can't live without Caller ID!
