Toronto Rock 7, Georgia Swarm 12, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our sixth year going to the games and our fifth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the Georgia Swarm, who were in last place in the East Division (Toronto was in second place).

It was Brodie Merrill giveaway bobblehead night and we got there early enough to get one.

I watched the Rock players warm up.

As usual, Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got the first goal less than a minute into the game.

Here is the view from our seats ...

At the end of the first quarter, Toronto was winning 3 - 2.  Yay!

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

Saturdays are apparently for the boys.

Toronto was losing 7 - 5 after the second quarter.

As season ticket holders, we get a couple vouchers for free tickets.  Our friend, Trish, joined us tonight.

Bellosound provided the music during the game.

The red-wigged guys sat across the way, as usual.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were losing 9 - 5.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, hung out in our section for a bit.  Everyone loves Iggy!

The guy and Iggy were busting some moves

The prize for the 50/50 draw was almost $8,000.

Alas, we didn't win.

It was a big crowd tonight.  The attendance was almost 11,000.

Georgia outplayed the Rock tonight and won 12 - 7.

Despite the loss, Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation.

The Rock players supported each other and then shook hands with the Georgia players.

The Rock players thanked their fans for coming out.
