Toronto Rock 17, Rochester Knighthawks 6

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fourth year going to the games and our third year having seasons tickets.

Roger, Gord's friend and co-worker, went to the game with us and he brought his dad, Ben.  The Toronto Rock Cheerleaders were greeting fans arriving to the game.  Ben got friendly with Katie.

The Rock were playing the Rochester Knighthawks tonight.

The Rock won their first game of the season last Friday ... that was an exciting game!

Iggy, the Rock mascot, charmed the crowd before the game.

As usual, Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian are also season ticket holders and sit in front of us.   They were excited when the Rock score first.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock were winning 7 - 1.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

The red-wigged guys who always sit across from us were there.

Iggy spent some time in our section.  The kids love Iggy!

He "fixed" an usher's collar

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were winning 11 - 2!

Tim and Gillian were pleased with the score.

The Rock huddled at the beginning of the third quarter.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again in the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were winning 13 - 3!

Here we are ...

Tonight's attendance was over 10,000.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was over $7,000.

Alas, we didn't win it.

The Rock won the game 17 - 6!  Whoohoo!

The Rock players congratulated each other on an excellent game.

Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation of the win.

The Rock and Knighthawks players shook hands.

The Rock players again congratulated each other.

The Rock players thanked their fans.

Rock goalie, Nick Rose, was the #1 player of the game (he did play well) and was interviewed afterwards.  He autographed a ball and gave it to someone in the crowd.

It was Stephan LeBlanc bobblehead night and they were given out to the first 5,000 fans arriving to the game.

It was a fun game.  It's always a fun game when we're winning but tonight the Rock kept scoring and Nick Rose kept making great saves.
