Kajama, Toronto, ON

Gord and I sailed around Toronto Harbour this afternoon on the Kajama. It was a Single Horizons event.

Launched as the Wilfried in Rendsburg, Germany in 1930, the Kajama traded under sail for nearly 70 years. She was a familiar ship in ports from Northwest Spain, through western Europe, and as far north as Norway and Russia. In 1999, Kajama was delivered transatlantic by Great Lakes Schooner Company and restored to her original profile.

We could see a lot of the airshow at the CNE.

Here's LeeAnn, owner of Single Horizons, and I.

It was a gorgeous day ... there were lots of boats on the water.

We sailed east around Toronto Islands. Here's Toronto with the Islands in between.

Here's Gord.

Here's Gord at the bow.

Looking towards the stern from the bow ...

Here's the tip of Leslie Street Spit.

Alas, it was time to head back.

We were going to find a patio but it was really busy at Harbourfont. So we walked home instead.
