Fiera Festival in Little Italy, Toronto, ON

Gord and I walked to Little Italy this afternoon for the Fiera Festival.

Live performances direct from Calabria, Italy, by the Sabatum Quartet. Come experience this festival with authentic Italian cuisine. Among the many delectable tastes, a number of the restaurants are presenting their special Sagra … an authentic Italian dish representative of their favourite feast from a village in Italy. Address: College St between Bathurst Ave & Shaw Ave.

There were lots of people when we got there about 3ish.

It was jammed when we left around 10ish.

There was something for everyone!

There were bands on many corners ...

Lots of food ...

This porchetta looks bad, I know, but the sandwich was good.

Old cars ...

A psychic ...

Games of chance ...

Fun stuff for kids ...

We had refreshing mojitoes on the patio at Souz Dal while the planes from the airshow flew over us.

The Crown & Tiger is just east of the festival and we enjoyed their $10 pitchers of beer on their patio.

We went back to the festival and had martinis at Eat My Martini. Here is my Mars Bar and Gord's Rat Pack.

When we first discovered Eat My Martini, their martinis were served in chilled steel glasses. They switched to glass ones because people kept stealing the steel ones. Now they are served in plastic glasses and you get less. And they weren't as good as they used to be.

Leave it to non-sophistos to ruin martinis! Who steals glasses?!

I gotta move to TO and become close friends with you guys! You're always on the go, eating good food and drinking lovely looking ales and concoctions! Did you have cannoli?
