I stayed at El Beso, the adult side.
Here was my room ... it was huge! It overlooked the quieter of the two El Beso pools.

This was a cute beach bar on the El Beso side ... it was a few minutes from my building.
In the main square of El Faro, there were lots of restaurant and bars.

I ate at the main buffet twice (once for supper and once for lunch) and wasn't impressed. Instead I checked out the other restaurants:
- Ocean Burger - a casual hot dog/burger stand
- Pez Dama, an à la carte restaurant that specializes in Caribbean flavours for supper
- Pez Dama, an à la carte restaurant that specializes in Caribbean flavours for lunch
- Route 66, an à la carte restaurant specializing in American BBQ
- Snack El Beso, a snack bar between the pools on the El Beso side (adults only)
- La Dolce Vita, an à la carte Italian restaurant
- Steakhouse, an à la carte restaurant specializing in grilled meats
- Pez Dama, an à la carte restaurant that specializes in Caribbean flavours for lunch
- Blue Moon, a "romantic" à la carte restaurant with gourmet cuisine
- Route 66, an à la carte restaurant specializing in American BBQ
There were lots of photo opps.
There is a lazy river where you can go 'round and 'round and 'round on a float, which I did. It was fun!
Next door , though, is a nicer beach (aka "the lagoon"). Because it's public, we were advised not to bring anything of value. Plus there were no loungers. But it was a fun beach ... the water was warm and the waves were wavy. It was a 2 minute walk from my building.
If you are a beach person, this is not the resort for you as it's not a great beach.

There was a lighthouse and the views on the third level were good.
There were lots of kitties and a couple dogs running around on the property.

There was a foam party in one of the El Beso pools one afternoon that was fun.
Jerry arrived about 3 weeks ago with a lady friend. When she left after a week, he wasn’t ready to go home so stayed on. Different people had taken him in and Jeff and Wendy of Hamilton were taking care of him when I finally met him. He has a Facebook profile and had gained quite a reputation with the ladies.
