8Mile Detroit Style Pizza, Toronto, ON

Monday was National Pizza Day and Yelp Toronto was offering opportunities for a free pizza this week at 8Mile Detroit Style Pizza on Charles Street (Bloor Street/Yonge Street) to elite Yelpers. I’ve been an elite Yelper for almost 20 years and happily was one of the ones chosen. I love pizza and have never had one of their pizzas so was looking forward to it. 

I stopped in for supper this evening. I got a Meat Love pizza (8Mile Cheese Blend, Italian Sausage Balls, Ham, Ezzo Pepperoni, Bacon and Signature Red Sauce). It’s a different style of pizza. It’s rectangular, the dough was surprisingly soft and chewy, very cheesy and the sauce was on top of everything. It was a very tasty pizza and three-quarters of it is coming home with me for lunch and supper tomorrow.
