Basket Loop Stitch Knitted Scarf

I knitted a scarf to donate using a butterfly stitch pattern. I found the pattern here. 

I used a Caron Anniversary Cake Special Edition (the colour is Merry Maximus) and 6.5mm needles. 

I cast on 22 stitches (multiples of 16 plus 6 border stitches).

Knit 4 rows. I followed this pattern, knitting 3 stitches at the beginning and the end of each row for an outside border.

• Row 1 (Right Side): * K5, P6, K5 * 
• Row 2 (Wrong Side): * P4, K8, P4 * 
• Row 3: * K3, P10, K3 * 
• Row 4: * P2, K4, P4, K4, P2 * 
• Row 5: * K2, P3, K6, P3, K2 * 
• Row 6: * P2, K2, P8, K2, P2 * 
• Row 7: * K2, P1, K10, P1, K2 * 
• Row 8: * K3, P10, K3 * 
• Row 9: * P4, K8, P4 * 
• Row 10: * K5, P6, K5 *
