Toronto Rock 8, Buffalo Bandits 13, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fifth year going to the games and our fourth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight was the Rock's last home game of the regular season and they were playing the Buffalo Bandits.  The Rock were in second place in the eastern division and Buffalo was in last.

We got there early so watched the teams warms up.

Here I am ... hopeful of a Rock win.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock players huddled before the game.

And the game began ...

Here is the view from our seats ...

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal ... they scored first.

The red-wigged guys were there, as usual.

The score at the end of the first quarter was 4 - 0.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, worked the crowd in the second quarter.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained.

At the end of the first half, the Rock were winning 6 - 3.

At the end of the intermission, Iggy led everyone into YMCA!

The Rock huddled again to get psyched.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again in the third quarter.

At the end of the third quarter, Buffalo was winning 9 - 6.  The Rock had started falling apart and were being outplayed.

Everyone loves Iggy!

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $10,000.

Alas, we didn't win.

The attendance was the largest ever.

The Rock ended up losing 13 - 8.  The second half wasn't fun at all ... the Bandits outplayed the Rock, even scoring on a short-handed goal (three players against five) at one point.

The players shook hands.

Tim and Gillian cheered the Rock players.

The Rock players thanked the fans for coming out.

Toronto Rock goalie Nick Rose thanked the fans for their support for the season.

There was a post-game player autograph session after the game and there was a large line-up.
