Dog & Bear, Toronto, ON

Gord and I had supper tonight at the Dog & Bear.

Alas, the sweet table by the window was taken so we sat in a booth.

Gord and I split an order of honey garlic wings.

They were good but a little on the small size.

Gord ordered Baked Mac & Cheese and I got Spice Trade Chicken Curry.

He enjoyed the salad.  He thought the mac and cheese was good but didn't care for the bread crumbs on top.  He said they were too powdery and would have rathered them to be more crusty.

My chicken curry was good.  The rice was delicate and the sauce was okay.  I asked for extra papadum so I could sop up the sauce.

Gabby was our server and she took good care of us.  She was friendly and chatty.

Our bill came in a book from 1965.

My only complaint is that the music was inconsistent.  There was a slew of older R&B songs, which were great ... and then some loud rap kicked in with the "F" and "N" words.  Not really appropriate for a pub.  Gabby was great and asked the bartender to change the tunes and he did.

Hopefully their beer selection with improve soon ... it's kind of hohum and basic right now.
