Sunday workout - a walk to High Park

I was going to go to the gym today ... two days in a row. Whoohoo!

But it was sunny and 15C so I decided to go for a long brisk walk instead. I didn't feel like being stuck inside on such a nice day.

I plotted my 11km route and off I went.

I walked to High Park and back. I took the long way so ended up making a square (north then west then south then east).

This is at the NE corner of the park.

I kept going to the NW corner of the park before heading south through the park (it almost 400 acres).

Along the pond ...

Then I headed east towards home.

Awesome walk! It took just under two and a half hours.

My legs feel like they got a good workout!

As I was walking, I was listening to the Bloodhound Gang's Hefty Fine and Hurray for Boobies on my ipod.

11K is pretty impressive! And it did look like the scenery was gorgeous.

a scenic workout is even better than watching tv. if only outside had a/c, id do the same!

The park looks nice with the walking trails. I'm sure you were tired when you got home. The name of one of the bands is funny!
