"Nash the Slash Rises, Again!", Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema, Toronto, ON

I spent a fun evening with Homa and Henriette at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema.

Me, Homa and Henriette

First we saw the theatrical premiere of “Nash the Slash Rises, Again!”, a documentary about Nash the Slash (which was interesting). I wasn’t familiar with his music but knew who he was.

Then there was a discussion with those involved (including Tim Kowalski, Kevan Byrne and Stephen Pollard).

The evening finished with an hour long concert by Kevin Breit (guitar, mandolin), Dave Clark (drums) Rebecca Hennessy (trumpet, vocals), Michael Herring (bass) and Elena Kapeleris (sax) backed by various guests performers including Future Now’s Ian Blurton, Dearly Beloved’s Rob Higgins and Christine Duncan and her animalistic Element Choir of nine of his songs reimagined on the record that has just come out.
