Toronto Rock 13, Rochester Knighthawks 12, Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our seventh year going to the games and our sixth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the Rochester Knighthawks.

Complimentary teeshirts were given to season ticket holders by the Rock staff.

Nice teeshirt!

We got there early enough to watch the Rock players warm up.

Here are Gord and I in our Rock gear ...

Here come the Rock players!

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock players huddled before the game started.

And the game began ...

Here's the view from our seats ...

Iggy, the Rock mascot, spent time in our section.  Everyone loves Iggy!

Gord and Iggy
Iggy isn't shy about flashing his abs!

DJ Sweet Lou provided the tunes during the game.

Eric, Sarah and and their son have sat in front of us for years.

Gillian and Tim, season's ticket holders who have sat in front of us for years, brought their son.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock were losing 3 - 1.

The red-wig guys were there as usual and weren't happy with a Rochester goal in the second quarter.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained.

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were losing 7 - 6.

And the second half began ...

Iggy was getting some love across the way.

 The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were winning 10 - 9.  That's better!

The prize for the 50/50 draw was over $8,400!

Alas, we didn't win it.

The attendance at tonight's game was almost 8,700.

It was a tight game but the Rock won 13 - 12.

It was a fairly scrappy game, especially at the end.   There were no handshakes exchanged between the teams.

The Rock players thanked their fans for their support.

Tonight's win was the Rock's third win in a row and they are 3 - 1.
