Toronto Rock 21, New England Black Wolves 9, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our sixth year going to the games and our fifth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the New England Black Wolves.  If Toronto won, they would be tied with the Black Wolves for first place in the eastern division.

We watched the Rock players warm up.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

There was a ceremonial face-off with members of the Grey Cup winning Toronto Argos for Bell Let's Talk campaign.

And the game began ...

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal.

Here's the view from our seats.

Bellosound provided the music during the game ... they've moved to another part of the arena.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock were winning 3 - 2.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

The red-wigged guys sat across the way, as usual.

The score after the first half was 10 - 7 for the Rock.

The Alumni Cheerleaders danced at the end of the intermission.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the third quarter.

The Rock were winning 14 - 9 at the end of the third quarter.

Here are me and Gord in our Rock gear.

Iggy, the Rock mascot spent some time in our section in the fourth quarter.  Everyone loves Iggy!

The prize for the 50/50 draw was almost $7,000.

Alas, we didn't win it.

Tonight's attendance was loud and supportive at just over 9,000.

The Rock won 21 - 9  Yay!

Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation.

The Rock players congratulated each other.

The players of the two teams shook hands.

The Rock players did a victory lap.

It was a good game.  It wasn't rough and I think there were only two penalties (one per team).
