Toronto Rock 17, Rochester Knights 9, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our sixth year going to the games and our fifth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight the Rock were hosting the Rochester Knighthawks.  Rochester was in first place and Toronto was in third place in the eastern division.

We watched the players warm up.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The theme of the game two weeks ago was Party like it's 1999.  They were selling cool hats with ticket packages.  As season ticket holders, we didn't need a package so couldn't buy the hat.  I contacted our Rock sales exec, Ryan, and asked if I could buy a couple of the hats if they had any leftover.  He said "yes" and we hooked up tonight to give them to us.  Thanks, Ryan!

 And the game began ...

Here's the view from our seats.

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal.

Bellosound provided the music during the game.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock was winning 5 - 2.

The red-wigged guys were across the way, as usual.

The goalies' equipment was measured.  We haven't seen them do that in a while.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, spent some time in our section.  Everyone loves Iggy!

At the end of the second quarter, the score was 9 - 5.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.

The score at the end of the third quarter was 14 - 7 for the Rock.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was almost $5,600.

Alas, we didn't win.

Despite it being a Friday night and a nasty slippery night out, attendance was respectable at 7,101.

The Rock won 17 - 9.  Yay!

Gillian showed her appreciation to the Rock players for the win.

The players shook hands after the game.

The Rock players did a victory lap.
