Exploring Grotto Bay Beach Resort, Bermuda

We woke up to a sunny 2012 ... yay!

This is looking towards the ocean from our balcony ... quite a difference from yesterday.

Gord and I headed to breakfast and then explored the resort. It's not a big place ... just 244 rooms.

This is from the main building looking towards the ocean.

Here is the kitty who lives on the property.

There's the pool ... we spent some time there late this morning. The temperature was about 70F and the sunny kept disappearing. The hot tub is REALLY hot.

We checked out one of the caves on the property. You go down this path.

Then you have to go down these stairs.

Here's the beginning. You have to squeeze down this narrow stairway.

Once you are there, it is awesome.

We dipped our toes in the water and it was chilly. Here's Gord.

Then we took a walk along the beach. I love the beach but the water was a bit too chilly to swim in. But I walked in the Atlantic Ocean for a while ... whoohoo!

This is looking back at the resort from the beach.

There are chickens and roosters EVERYWHERE! These guys are on the lawn outside our balcony. The roosters crow about every ten seconds all day. That's what I woke up to about 7:15 this morning. Cock-a-doodle-doo!
