Toronto Rock 8, Georgia Swarm 11, Air Canada Centre, Toronto, ON

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our fifth year going to the games and our fourth year having seasons tickets.

Tonight was the first game in the second round of the playoffs of the East Division.  It's the best of two games.

Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock players huddled before the game.

And the game began ...

Here's the view from our seats ...

Tim and Gillian, season's ticket holders who sit in front of us, were happy when Toronto got their first goal ... they scored first.

Iggy, the Rock mascot, worked the crowd.  Everyone loves Iggy!

He came right up to us!

One of the usual red wig guys was there with two different red wig guys.

The score at the end of the first quarter was an unusually low 1 - 0 for the Rock.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

The score at the end of the second quarter was 4 - 2 for the Rock, still fairly low.

Here are Gord and I with the rally towels that were given out when we arrived.

During the intermission, Iggy danced with the Rock Cheerleaders.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the third quarter.

The Rock was outplayed and there were some bad calls by the referees in the second half.  At the end of the third quarter, the Rock was losing 6 - 5.

Here are Gord and I.

The prize for the 50/50 draw was just over $6,000.

 Alas, we didn't win.

There was some pushing and shoving towards the end of the game.

The final score was 11 - 8 for the Swarm.

Tim and Gillian showed their appreciation to the Rock players.

The Rock players thanked the fans for coming out and supporting them.

If the Rock loses the next game, they are out of the playoffs and done for the year.  Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!
