Toronto Wine & Spirits Festival, Toronto, ON

There were lots of things happening in Toronto today.

Gord and I decided to check out the Toronto Wine & Spirits Festival at Sugar Beach ... we'd never been before.

It was $30 at the gate ($21.50 online 'til 1pm ... we decided at 1:04pm to go!).  You got a glass and five drink tickets.  After that, tickets were $1 each.  Most sample drinks were two tickets each.

Here are the vendors:

I liked the Lamb's Spiced Rum here.
Free cheese at the Sobeys table!
Peter Lehann was my second favourite vendor.
I liked their white wine.
You could have had a daiquiri
Smirnoff Ice had the worst pour .. two tickets for a little bit :(
Not a lot of coconut sales ...
... because the sales guy was chillin'.
Smirnoff Sourbet always had a line-up ...
they were providing free manicures and chapstick.
I found their raspberry vodka mixed with cranberry juice too sweet.
The Beachhouse had my favourite drink of the festival ...
... a bubbly.
There was entertainment ... we saw a few singers and they were good.

Shawn Brady
Stacey Renee Maroske
Jessica Bundy
She was kinda of folksy but surprised me with Daft Punk's Get Lucky.
I played a game and won a granola bar!

We had supper.  Gord got a platter from Spring Rolls and enjoyed it.

I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was delicious!

This old car was parked nearby.

Here are me and Gord on Sugar Beach.

Gord was doing some limbo.

Stella Acquisto from Citytv did the weather from the festival.

Dude!  Your flannel underwear is hanging out!

These potatoes on a stick were a big hit.

Gord and I sat down by the water for a long time.

It was a fun festival.  As much as I like beer, I liked that there was a variety of drinks so I could try a few things.

Your pork sandwich looks amazing! Looks like a great variety of vendors and doesn't look busy at all - I will have to check it out next year.

There were lots of people but it wasn't too crowded.
