The famous
Flowerpot Rocks were carved out over thousands of years by the massive tides in the Bay of Fundy. At low tide, you can walk right out onto the ocean floor, which we did) and explore around the giant rock formations. Then the tide comes back in and the whole place looks completely different. At high tide, the water around the rocks can be 30–50 feet deep. You can be walking on the ocean floor one minute and looking at several metres of water covering the same spot a few hours later. Fun experience!
It’s about a km walk to get to the stairs to the ocean through the woods (it's a nice walk). You can also take a $2 shuttle. We walked to the stairs, walked around the ocean floor and took the shuttle back to the info centre.
