“Everything You Do is a Balloon”, The Toronto Fringe Festival, Young Centre for the Performing Arts, Toronto, ON

I spent the afternoon volunteering for The Toronto Fringe Festival at the TD Finance Studio at the Young Centre for the Performing Arts.

I ushered Everything You Do is a Balloon (so got to watch it).

If a balloon pops in the middle of a birthday party and all the kids are in the bouncy castle, are you even a gay Jew? Through dance, music, twerking and complaining, this solo show explores the current culture of identity politics and our contentious relationship between individuality and belonging. Together we will contemplate, pontificate and flatulate on the many ways identity can unite us and isolate us.
