Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park Reserve, Iqaluit, Nunavut

I drove this afternoon to the Sylvia Grinnell Territorial Park Reserve, which is about 1km west of Iqaluit.

There were a couple roads to follow.  I took one that veered left to the top.

I walked up the trail.

I walked around a bit ... there was lots of space to hike and the views were amazing!

When I left, I saw a dog chasing a pick-up truck down a dirt road in the park.  I was concerned for the dog so followed them.  The dog chased the truck for many kms ... the truck would slow down and then speed up.  It turns out the driver of the truck was just exercising his sled dog.  I figured it out when I saw other dogs chasing three-wheelers.

It was also interesting to see so many tents pitched in the middle of nowhere in the park.
