Montana's BBQ & Bar, Stratford, ON

Gord and I had lunch at Montana's BBQ & Bar in Stratford.


I had Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Tender, seasoned chicken: marinated in buttermilk and hand-tossed in our signature breading. Served over garlic mashed potatoes, freshly baked cornbread and topped with country-style gravy.). The potatoes were a tad salty and most of the batter on the chicken was the texture of solid rubber. This was my go-to when I went to a Montana's ... today not so much.


Gord had a Chicken Burrito Bowl (Fire-grilled, seasoned chicken breast on top of a bed of rice, roasted corn, beans, cheese, red peppers, guacamole, house-made Pico de Gallo and garnished with a creamy cilantro sauce and crunchy corn tortillas.). We realized long after we’d left that Gord’s meal was missing the tortilla chips.
