Eleven 01, Barrie, ON

Gord and I had supper this evening at Eleven 01 at Horseshoe Resort

We ordered a bottle of Peller Family Rosé Bubbles to have with our meal, which we didn’t finish there, so we’re able to bring it back to our room.

We both had a “Canadian” pizza (mozzarella, pepperoni, mushrooms, smoked bacon, vine ripened tomato sauce) … mine without mushrooms. They were good pizzas and we both took half back to our room to take home tomorrow.

The servers were friendly but young and need more training. They seemed a bit panicked and neglected to check back on their tables. When we asked about the wine, our server couldn't offer any help. There are only 12 bottles on the menu ... 4 wine, 4 red and 4 bubbly. He said he didn't drink bubbly but he should have been told enough to be able to answer basic questions like which was more sweet/more dry. When we asked another server (because our server hadn't checked in on us) if we could take the bottle of bubbly back to our room, she didn't know and had to ask (I would think this would be something she would know given it's a busy resort). The woman delivering the food wasn't friendly at all.
