Candle Flames Knitted Scarf

I knitted a scarf to donate using a candle flames pattern that I found here. It was easier than it looks to make.

I used a Caron Anniversary Cake Special Edition (the colour is Opal) and 6.5mm needles.

I cast on 20 stitches (a multiple of 12 plus 2 plus 6 for the edges).

Knit 3 rows. I followed this pattern, knitting 3 stitches at the beginning and the end of each row for an outside border.
  • Row 1: P2, *Yo, K1, Yo, P2, K2, K2tog, K3, P2; rep from * to end.
  • Row 2: K2, *P6, K2, P3, K2; rep from * to end.
  • Row 3: P2, *K1, (Yo, K1) twice, P2, K2, K2tog, K2, P2; rep from * to end.
  • Row 4: K2, *(P5, K2) twice; rep from * to end.
