Cibo Wine Bar, Toronto, ON

I had been given a gift certificate from my team when I retired last month and Gord and I used it this evening at Cibo Wine Bar (King Street W/Brant Street).

We shared a bottle of Merlot. I ordered Pollo Parmigiana (breaded boneless organic chicken breast, melted mozzarella, tomato sauce, rapini, roasted fingerling potatoes).  It was good.

Gord ordered Spaghetti Carbonara (pancetta, egg yolk, parmigiano reggiano, cracked black pepper).  He said it was very good.

We also ordered dessert. I ordered Nutella Pizza (banana, crushed hazelnuts) … it was good but I wasn’t expecting it to be so HUGE (I wish our server had warned me so I could order something else) and took most of it home. 

Gord ordered Tiramisu (Venetian classic) and loved it.
