Spring ... er, winter fever

Gord is spending the weekend in Colorado Springs at a fencing championship. Whoohoo!

I'll admit that I'm not the best housekeeper in the world ... life is too short to worry about it.

Whenever he goes away, I get the urge to clean, though. I'm talking major cleaning.

Since he's been gone, I've rearranged my closet (and bought shelves), cleaned out the medicine cabinet in the bathroom, cleaned out the vanity under the bathroom sink and rearranged the shelving unit in the closet next to the bathroom (where we keep towels, shampoos, bath bombs, etc.).

Yesterday I dealt with the shelving unit in the living room. That meant taking everything off, cleaning the shelves and whatever was on them.

As you can see, it's no easy feat. That explains why I haven't done it since the spring.

And it's not like I was bored ... I have a lot of work I should be doing.

You'd think I'd get into this zone when Gord is around so I can demand ask nicely that he help me.

Yep, that's a cat scratching post. The boys used to scratch the chair we have by our desk ... but then we got a slanted scratching post and that did the trick. It's all about the angle, I guess.
