Chocolate Making: Strawberry Fairy Garden Workshop, QUEST XO Chocolate, Toronto ON

I spent the afternoon at a two hour Chocolate Making: Strawberry Fairy Garden workshop at QUEST XO Chocolate in Liberty Village ... what a fun time! I've done other workshops at Quest.

We’re taking chocolate-covered strawberries, tiny edible decorations, a terracotta flower pot and just a little bit of unhinged creativity and turning them into the cutest fairy garden you’ve ever seen.

You’ll dip strawberries, sculpt playful chocolate details, paint edible decorations, and arrange everything into a whimsical garden scene that’s giving storybook energy. The best part? It’s all edible. 

Our instructors were Beatrice and Rachel ... they were friendly and helpful.

We each had 5 strawberries and started off dipping and decorating them. We had fun stuff like pink and white warm liquidy chocolate, sprinkles and poppy seeds.

While the strawberries set in the fridge, we had a ball of chocolate to make things for our baskets. We were given a ready-made worm and a rabbit to paint if we wanted to use them. Instead I made a couple of hearts and stars.

I was expecting the pot to be a traditional terracotta pot (as per the description) but it was an edible chocolate pot!! The "dirt" was ground-up Oreo cookies and we arranged our strawberries and creations in it. 

Ta da!

Lovely packaging to take it home. Plus we could take home the leftover pink and white chocolate (which will solidify) so, of course, I did!
