Toronto Rock 7, Rochester Knighthawks 11

Gord and I are season ticket holders for the Toronto Rock lacrosse team games ... the Rock is a professional lacrosse franchise in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).  This is our third year going to the games and our second year having seasons tickets.

Going into tonight's game, they were in first place (11 - 3) and were playing the Rochester Knighthawks.  Rochester was second in their division and had lost their last game badly (16 - 3) so we figured they would be coming on strong tonight.

So nice to see Iggy back!  He was missing in action last week.

Everyone loves Iggy!

As usual, Scotty Newlands sang the national anthems.

The Rock huddled before the game to get psyched.

And then the game began ...

The people in the row in front of us (also season tickets holders) celebrate a Rock goal.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rock were down 5 - 2.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained in the second quarter.

Our neighbours, Steve and Simone, joined us for the game.

At the end of the second quarter, the Rock were down 8 - 4.

It was alumni night and they had retired Rock players play a game against each other.

The Rock huddled to get psyched at the beginning of the third quarter.

The Rock Cheerleaders entertained again.

Gord's birthday was on Tuesday and I'd asked that the Rock wish him a happy birthday on the jumbotron.

At the end of the third quarter, the Rock were down 10 - 6.

The red wing guys who always sit across from us were there.

The attendance was just over 10,000 ... bad for Good Friday (a holiday).

The prize for the 50/50 draw was almost $4,500!

Alas, we didn't win it ... we weren't even close!

Iggy came into our section trying to get the crowd going to cheer on the Rock.

 Alas, the Rock lost 11 - 7.

Despite the loss, the fans in front of us showed them some love.

The players shook hands after the game.

The Rock players thanked their fans for coming out.

Here are the three stars of the game.

It's always more fun when the Rock win ... just two more home games before the playoffs.
