San Wich, Toronto, ON

Yelp Toronto was offering opportunities for a free meal at San Wich on Gladstone Avenue (just north of Bloor Street W) to elite Yelpers over the next week or so. I’ve been an elite Yelper for 17 years and happily was one of the ones chosen. I stopped in for lunch today. San Wich opened in 2024 and is owned by Gus Tacos. 

I got a Chicken Milanese sandwich (crispy fried chicken breast with mayo, mustard, avocado, tomato, and onion … minus the onions and avocado) and a slice of tres leches cake. Because I live nearby, I got it to go. It was a tasty hearty sandwich. The bun was soft, which I like. The chicken was tender and the coating wasn’t overwhelming. Half a sandwich was enough and I’ll have the other half for supper. I’ve never had tres leches cake before so it was fun to try. It wasn’t overly sweet.
