It was nice to have supper on the patio at Bar Wellington at Portland Street/Wellington Street W (they recently just reopened).  There is a park across the street so it's a great spot for people and dog watching.

Gord had Bam Bam Shrimp (tempura battered shrimp tossed in tangy Thai sauce).

I had Baked Macaroni & Cheese (chorizo sausage with sweet cherry tomatoes, cheddar, mozzarella, monterey jack cheeses).

Both were good!

Tavia was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us.

Gord and I had a late lunch this afternoon at Bar Wellington (Portland/Wellington).

We sat on the patio.

I ordered what I always get there ... Baked Chorizo Mac & Cheese and it was sooooooo good.

Gord ordered wings with salt and pepper and a side salad with no tomatoes.  His salad came with cherry tomatoes ... I love tomatoes so I ate them.  His wings arrived with BBQ sauce so he sent them back for what he ordered.  When they arrived, he said they were excellent.

Gord and I had a late lunch/early supper this afternoon at Bar Wellington (Portland/Wellington).

We sat on the patio.

It was humid and overcast and my cold Keith's tasted good!

When I was here at the end of July, I had ordered Baked Chorizo Mac & Cheese and it was sooooooo good ... so I got it again!  And it was sooooooo good!

Gord ordered what he ordered the last time ... chicken fingers with a salad.  He was brought salad and fries by mistake so they brought him an extra bowl of salad.  He said his meal was good.

I went for a long walk this afternoon to downtown.   I was hot so stopped in at Bar Wellington (Portland/Wellington) for a beer on the patio on my way home.

I was hungry so ordered Baked Chorizo Mac & Cheese.  OMG ... it was sooooooo good!  I would definitely get this again.

I let Gord know where I was so he joined me.  He ordered chicken fingers with a salad and said they were really good.

Mike was our server.  He was friendly and took good care of us.

After Gord and I left Fort York, we stopped in at Bar Wellington.

It was such a nice day (sunny and 17C) and we were able to get a seat on the upper patio.

After all the walking we did, our beers tasted good!

We were snacky so we shared an order of nachos.

Gord and I were getting hungry after the Wellington Place: A Remarkable Neighbourhood Re-Emerges Over The Traces Of Two Centuries Jane's Walk so we stopped for a late lunch at Bar Wellington.

It was such a nice day that we sat on the upper patio ... there's Gord.

It is kitty-corner to Victoria Memorial Square, where we'd started the walk.

Sitting on the patio, we could see the CN Tower through the tree ... I tried to get creative.

After the walk, my cold beer tasted gooooood!

Gord had Baked Macaroni and Cheese ... he said it was good but could use some bacon.  Coincidentally they are adding chorizo to it soon.  He said he'd get it again.

I ordered Butter Chicken.  It was delicious but could have been hotter (I think it had been sitting around for a while waiting for Gord's meal).  I'd get it again.

We like Bar Wellington and used to stop in occasionally. It's been a while since we've been there ... I dunno why.  We're going to have to fix that.

After seeing The Dark Knight, Gord and I started walking home.

We stopped at the Bar Wellington and discovered they had buckets of beer ... 5 Amsterdam Pale Ale for just $15.
