Boar's Head Pub, Stratford, ON

Before we saw Rent at the Festival Theatre (part of the Stratford Festival), Gord and I had lunch on the patio of the Boar's Head Pub.

Gord had corn chowder and wings with salt and pepper. He would get the chowder again but he said the wings were a bit oversalted.

I had the Buffalo Chicken Melt with Pickles (crispy buffalo chicken strips topped with mozzarella cheese baked on a Vienna roll) and mashed potatoes. A weird combination but it worked and I'd get it again.

Janna was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us.

Boar's Head Pub, Stratford, ON

After seeing Tommy and then a walk in the park, Gord and I had supper this evening at the Boar's Head Pub.  We've been there before and have liked it.

It was such a nice day (warm and sunny) so we sat on the patio.

I ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich (minus lettuce and onions) and fries.  It came with cheese, which I thought was odd but then I discovered that instead of ordering me a side of gravy, our server ordered cheese instead.  It's the first time I've had the pulled pork sandwich there and it was good.  The pork was really tender.  I'd get it again.

Gord ordered the Corn Fried Chicken Sandwich (which no tomatoes or red pepper jelly) and onion rings.  He said it was good and would order it again.

Joel was our server and took good care of us.

Boar's Head Pub, Stratford, ON

After the play, we had supper on the patio at the Boar's Head Pub ... we usually eat there when we go to the Festival Theatre.

Here's Gord having a pint.

And here's me...

I had the wing/rib combo ... it was okay.

Gord enjoyed his wild boar burger ...
