In January I blogged about how I haven't been sleeping well for over a year and all the things I've been trying.
I had just started taking Valerian, an herb, and it helped put and keep me to sleep for a while ... but then seemed to stop.
Last month I downloaded a 30 minute meditation to sleep onto my ipod. I listened to it a few times and would be asleep in about ten minutes. I would wake up sometime after it was over, put my ipod in my nightstand and then fall back asleep. Yay! I've tried it a couple times this week but it didn't work ... I was still awake when it was over (at least now I know how it ends).
We have digital music stations through our cable and one of them is spa music. I put it on when I went to bed last night and left it on for about a half hour. Alas, it didn't work.
I am scheduled for a sleep apnea test in a couple weeks ... it should be interesting to see what turns up.
Do you have any other tips for me?

I have issues falling asleep too, and I wish I had some tips for you. Does your doctor thing you have sleep apnea?
I can't think of anything. Hope the test will give you some helpful hints.
Have you tried melatonin? It works for me, especially if you pair it with a small glass of red wine! You can buy it in the drug store.
Darlene: I have tried melatonin and it did no good, with and without red wine :(
Sorry Teena- wish I could help but it looks like you've tried all the same things I'd suggest- good luck with our sleep apnea test
That makes for some really long work days when you're tired all the time.
