I was in our Montreal office on Monday and in Ottawa on Tuesday.
About noontime on Monday, we heard that the Toronto building (where I work) was evacuated. No, it wasn't a false alarm ... there was a real fire in front of the building!
My colleague, Janice, took some pix.
The fire was eventually put out. Our office building has been closed, though, since Monday until they can ensure it is a safe environment.
Many left without their personal belongings like their purses, keys,
etc. (my purse and coat are the first things I grab when there is fire
alarm). They were allowed in yesterday (escorted by Security) to get their stuff.
Because the office has been closed all week, I have been working from home since Wednesday. Good thing I had my laptop!
Update: Sounds like they have everything under control ... we are back to work on Monday.

Luckily nobody was hurt and thank goodness for laptops!
Yeah for not having to go into the office. Thankfully the problem wasn't too bad and everyone is fine.
Have a nice weekend.
Good that everyone got out ok..
I'm glad no one was hurt.
I work and home and I LOVE days when my hubby gets to work from home.
Thankfully no one was hurt.
