A Good Day to Die Hard this evening.
Gord is a fan of the Die Hard series (except for #3) so, of course, we HAD to see it (it just opened today).
Bruce Willis returns in his most iconic role as John McClane - the "real" hero with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing. This time the take-no-prisoners cop is really in the wrong place at the wrong time after traveling to Moscow to help his estranged son Jack. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
John learns that his son, John Jr., has been arrested in Russia for murder so he heads there to see what's going on. John gets involved with his son in saving a Russian who has a file that will bring down a bad guy. There are lots of twists and turns.
It wasn't an awesome movie but it was entertaining. John McClane has come a long way since the first Die Hard! You have to leave your sense of belief at the door because of all the violence that John and his son go through yet they get keep moving. Gord and I were talking about it afterwards and there were lots of holes ... but you just have to go with it.
We saw in on IMAX which was a cool way to see it as there are lots of car crashes, shootings, etc. and it was really loud.
Here we are ... Trish, Gord and I.
