Our day

Gord and I had a busy day planned for today.

We were going to drive to Hamilton (about 45 minutes away) to watch this ...

The Hamilton Tiger Cats (Gord's favourite CFL team) played against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  They are tearing down the Ti-Cat's stadium after this season so it would have been the last chance to be in it.

But it was raining (it's an outdoor stadium) so we stayed home and he watched it on TV.  We are both getting over colds so sitting in the rain and cold for hours wouldn't have been good for either of us.  Gord was happy that the Ti-Cats won.  Then he watched the Toronto Argos beat the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I spent a couple hours reading.

We ordered in supper from here ...

We were supposed to do this last night ...

We had signed up for the Fort York After Dark Lantern Tour but it was still raining and a lot of the tour would have been outside.

Instead we watched a couple movies ...

And I finished knitting a dishcloth.

That sucks about the rain :(

I'm a huge Alouette's fan! Even more, I'm a fan of our quarterback Anthony Calvillo. He actually lives in my neighborhood and my son took swimming lessons for 2 sessions with his daughter :) When it was off season, he came to lessons to watch! That was pretty cool. I got my grey cup cap signed by him, it took me one entire swimming lessons session to get the courage to ask him to sign it. Though, every week we'd talk on the bench... it still took me all session to ask him to autograph my cap! LOL

Too bad about missing out on going to the game. Best thing to do when not well is stay home and rest up. Hope you are both feeling better.

Bummer about not being able to go to the game, but you'd have been miserable outside in the rain.

Sometimes those quiet nights in can turn out to be pretty busy nights in. We watched Mr. Mom as well (hilarious) and Michael Keaton looked so young! What were your thoughts on Seeking a Friend...? We haven't seen that one yet.
