Gord and I usually have a quiet New Year's Eve ... we stay home, BBQ steak, drink bubbly and watch the new year roll in on TV.
I wanted to do something different this year and surprised Gord this evening with a plan to spend New Years in Bermuda, my treat. Needless to say, he didn't say no!
We leave for Bermuda New Year's Eve morning (which is a Saturday) and will be there by noon. Whoohoo!
We come home early in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 3, so we'll be there for three nights ... a nice long weekend. Alas, Gord has to work the next day (I don't).
I've never been to Bermuda and am soooo looking forward to it.

my cousins lived in Bermuda for about 7 years while my uncle was stationed there (he was in the Canadian Armed Forces). I've always wanted to go to Bermuda too. You're going to have sunch an amazing time I'm sure of it.
I'm so jealous right now. Lucky!
Oh how lovely! I'd love to be somewhere different for New Year..
That's awesome Teena. Rob and I always stay in too, maybe one year we'll do something extra special like this. :)
That sounds like so much fun! :) Matthew and I tend to spend a quiet New Years at home too.
Sounds like an awesome way to ring in the new year!
